Borrowed Identity

Episode notes
I’ve been thinking a lot about how easy it is to lose yourself without even realising it. Sometimes it isn’t dramatic. Sometimes it is one adjustment at a time. One compromise. One moment of comparison. One decision to control what feels uncertain.
And before you know it, you are trying to become someone else to secure what you are afraid you might lose.
That is what made Jacob’s story hit me differently. Before the striving, before the manipulation, before the borrowed clothes and borrowed name, God had already spoken.
In this episode, I sit with Genesis 25 and 27 and ask some uncomfortable questions about identity, control, comparison, and what happens when we stop trusting that who we are is enough for what God has already placed inside our story.
Because maybe the real issue is not that God has forgotten what He said. Maybe we are just struggling to trust Him enough not to force it.
