When the Wilderness Gets Loud
· 40 min · Matthew 4
Episode notes
I thought I was supposed to feel stronger.
After over two months of fasting and intentionally pouring myself out before God, I expected to come out feeling spiritually charged. Instead, I found myself overwhelmed, exhausted, lonely and carrying emotions I couldn’t quite explain.
And I couldn’t stop asking God: Why do I feel like this after everything I’ve just poured out to You?
A conversation with my Grandma led me back to Matthew 4 and suddenly, I began to see my season differently.
Jesus came out of forty days of fasting and entered a moment where the enemy challenged the very thing the Father had already declared about Him: “If You are the Son of God…” And His response was simple: “It is written.”
This episode is an honest conversation about what happens when the wilderness gets loud, when your feelings begin contradicting what God has spoken, and when the evidence around you makes you question whether anything is happening at all.
Because the wilderness may feel dry, but that doesn’t mean there’s no water. Sometimes, it’s hidden.
